Encounter God’s Mercy by Reconciling yourself to Him. He is calling your name! Have you listened for the “Still, small voice…” (1 Kings 18:20-40; 19-20) inside of you?

Throughout all time, mankind has not understood the depth of God’s Mercy, even though He has given us Holy People who would listen and dared to speak out. Every ‘AGE’ has had their Spiritual Guides, and some people followed their lead, and others would not listen. Some chose to Encounter God’s Mercy and followed Jesus through the Cross to the Father.

What I have discovered throughout my lifetime is that we are not just born knowing God. We must ENCOUNTER God’s Mercy. What does that really mean.  Webster’s describes ‘encounter’ as: ‘to meet – usually unexpectedly (something that surprises us or is unforeseen), or to meet as an enemy.’ An Enemy is ‘one that tries to harm another.’ WOW! God is NOT our enemy, the evil one is!

The evil one tries to destroy us through subtle, unnoticed ways, to draw us away from what is good in our lives. God is what is good in our lives. He is so good that He will not force anything on us. Our free will can make us – or break us.

Adam and Eve Encountered God’s Mercy in the Garden.  MosesEncountered God’Mercy for His people, at the Burning Bush and then so many more times. Abraham Encountered God Mercy in the desert. They all developed a relationship with God because they chose too. All throughout Bible history, we can find these Encounters of God’s Mercy written about, to draw us close to God and to give us an example… to bring us to our salvation.

The Good Thief Dismas, Encountered God’s Mercy…while upon his cross, being put to death for his sins against mankind, hanging right next to Jesus one the Cross of our Redemption. Mercy is compassion shown to an offender. Mercy is a blessing resulting from Divine Favor. Take a moment and try to think about if you have Encountered God’s Mercy yet? Most importantly, think about what that moment was… and how it has affected your life.

I Encountered God’s Mercy in the Confessional! That experience is unforgettable! It was life-changing for me! (See my blog – Mystical Relationships.)

The KEY… is to put yourself in a place to be found by God (Fr. Mark Toups) …and sit and wait. He will shower you with Grace through the Power of the Holy Spirit…and fill you with the Peace that Jesus became Incarnate to give too each one who will allow Him to lead our lives in the way He lived. He left us so many examples to follow, some are the Holy people who fought temptation with through living The Beatitudes, The Ten Commandments, Spiritual and Corporal works of Mercy, and this list goes on and on.

Encountering God’s Mercy is only possible when you desire Him more than anything of this world!

Jesus died to share God’s Divine Mercy with us. He asked St. Faustina Kowalska to be “His Secretary of Divine Mercy.” (429 Diary). Jesus died for our sins while we were still sinners. His Mercy for us in incomprehensible. God calls us to Himself throughout time to receive Jesus Divine Mercy. The choice is ours.

The Origional Divine Mercy Picture that St. Faustina was told to have painted. Jesus is coming out of the darkness to find us. A Brilliant white Light is radiantly pouring forth His Great Mercy, through His Divine Love.

In this picture, Jesus is inviting us to receive His Divine Mercy, which was shed from the Cross when the centurion ‘Pierced His side with a lance, and Blood and Water poured forth,’from Jesus’ Sacred Heart to save us from our sins. Jesus waits to pour His Mercy on each one of in Reconciliation through His Divine Love for us.

My book, Christ in our Midst’was written to, “Help make the Complicated simple.” Which is a Message that I received in 2016, when I asked Jesus after Communion, “Jesus, what do you want me to do for you?”Christ in our Midst’ is a book written to help me discover what the Fruits, Gifts and Charisms are all about? And what they are supposed to mean in my life and what I am supposed to do with them. ‘Christ in our Midst grew from an assignment of writing a ‘PAPER’ about each Fruit and Gift, into this book Praise God. It is not a deeply Theological Book – it is a practical guide – teaching the readers all about God’s Merciful Love!
