The Paschal Mystery

The Paschal Mystery is one of the most central concepts of the Catholic Faith relating to the history of Salvation. It’s main subject is the Passion, Death and Resurrection of Jesus Christ. The WORK – of God the Father – who sent His Son Jesus – to accomplish on earth (CCC)

The Redemptive Death of God’s only Son Jesus Christ, accomplished ‘ONCE- FOR – ALL.‘    Also The Catholic Catechism states, that “in the “Liturgy of the Church —  which revolves around the Seven Sacraments,” — it is principally His Own Paschal Mystery that Christ Signifies and makes Present.” It is “Recalled and Celebrated during every Holy Mass also called Eucharist or The paschal Mystery .”

Paschal” means —- Passing over” (Exodus 12,13,23,27; Isaiah 31:5)

Mystery – can only be grasped by Grace, not understood.

So, by our Faith in the ‘Word of Christ,’ . . . we accept the ‘Paschal Mystery’ – through GRACE from God . . . as our chance at Redemption. (above from Wikepedia).

We are each invited to Participate Fully in the Holy Mass. There is no more privileged way to ‘Encounter God’ than in the Mass. The Mass is the moment of the greatest Adoration we can give. Heaven is closer to us than we are to ourselves. Gathered in Adoration during the Mass, We participate in the call and response between ‘Christ the Head, and His Mystical Body.’ (Bishop Robert Barron -“The Mass’).

By the Power of the Holy Spirit . . . in Union with the Priest, through the Sacrament of Holy Orders . . . the Bread and Wine are Changed (Transubstantiation) into ‘The Body and Blood of our Lord Jesus Christ’ . . . for Jesus said, ‘This . . . is my Body . . .” (Mark 14:22)

Do we believe Him?

In Cana of Galilee – Christ changed water into wine, and shall we think Him less worthy of credit when He changes wine into His Blood?” (St. Cyril of Jerusalem)

Look at the servants Faces!

We can become a part of this Great Paschal Mystery of the Trinity when we participate in the Holy Mass. To Participate – means to prayerfully reply with enthusiasm to all the Mass parts, and not come to Receive . . . but come to GIVE! We do this with Praise, Honor, and Glory to our God, and offering OUR Sacrifices of each day, with the Ministerial Priest, as he OFFERS – ‘The Sacrifice of Jesus’ — back to the Father. It is THEN that we become “One — with the Trinity.

You get Out of Mass – what you put into it!

The Mass, is ”The Source and Summit of our Faith!

We . . . become a ‘Mystical‘ part of the Mass . . . if we participate fully in the Mass . . . And if our souls are prepared to RECEIVE Jesus into our body . . . ‘Free from sin!’ (I will talk about the affects of sin in another Blog.)

The Paschal Mystery – Mass — is the Supreme form of Worship!

Mass – is the most PERFECT and INTENSE Encounter with Christ that we can experience.

Jesus – becomes a PART of us.

We become ONE with Him!

HE IS in OUR Bloodstream . . . and becomes part of our cells!

Can you believe it?

Our Lord and Savior – DESIRES- to become a living part of our body!

Is Our Soul ready to receive Him worthily?

Do we know HOW to come to this place in our hearts?

All four forms of Prayer are in the Mass:

Petition, Adoration, Thanksgiving and Forgiveness.

You get out of the Mass —— What you put into it!

Through the ‘Sacrifice of Jesus Christ,’ Which is — ‘Re-Presented’ —during the Mass . . . Our Goal . . . is to direct our prayer to God the Father. This Sacrifice is called ‘The Paschal Mystery.

It is:

THROUGH’

. . . the Power of the Holy Spirit which is bestowed on the Priest through Ordination . . .

‘WITH’

. . . Our Lord and Savior upon the Altar . . .

IN

. . . The Real Presence of the Eucharist, which IS Jesus!

So what is ‘Persona Christi ?

It is a Latin phrase meaning,”In the Person of Christ.”

It is ‘Christ’s Presence’ – in His Priest . . .

when using the Powers of their Ordination . . . through the Sacraments,

The Priest’s Become . . . Christ – ‘Persona Christi!

“In the Person of Christ.’

“The Holy Mass is the Greatest prayer that we can pray., for it is the place where Jesus Sacrificed Himself for our weaknesses and failings. It is the place where Heaven joins earth in Praise, Honor and Worship of the Trinity. It is the place where Jesus – becomes “ONE” with each and everyone of us in the Holy Eucharist.” (Clariann Nicklin received this message after Mass at St. Sharbel Church 1/18/18, during the ‘Peace Prayer Chaplet’.)

Prayer Changes us!

The Holy Mass, is the Highest form of Prayer that we can give to God Our Father . . . The Mass is a form of Worship, Praise, and Honor, with Prayers of Petition and Thanksgiving, and Mystery and ‘Mystical,’ that happens through-out the Mass and is the

‘Source and Summit’ of our Faith is the Paschal Mystery.

The ‘Living Presence of God,’ is seen on earth as . . . Jesus Christ – Our Lord and Savior. “I AM – WHO AM . . .” (Exodus 3:14).

If you have seen me . . . You have seen My Father . . . We are ‘ONE’.”(Matthew 14:8)

This was reproduced from the ‘Shroud’ through Scientific methods.

The picture on the left is the ‘Reverse x-ray’ – scientific work.

The one on the right is the original Shroud picture.

The Face of Jesus, in the middle is the ‘Forensic Reconstruction.’

((Mark 7: 32-34And they brought a deaf one to Him, hardly speaking. And they begged Him, that He put His hands on him. And taking him away, apart from the crowd, He put His fingers into the man’s ears; and spitting, He touched his tongue; and looking up into heaven, He groaned, and said to him, ‘Ephphatha,’ which is, ‘Be opened.’ And instantly his ears were opened, and the bond of his tongue was loosened , and he spoke correctly.” (from the Greek, Hebrew, English Bible).

Jesus is calling us to ‘Be open to Him’ . . . to Trust Him . . . to Believe Him when He says; “This is My Body . . . This is My Blood . . .” then receive Him – just as He is . . . Loving and Forgiving . . . and Healing our souls . . .

The Eucharist is the greatest source of Grace . . .

But . . . receiving Communion unworthily — puts another ‘grave sin’ on our soul that will need confessed . . . or it will separate us from God.

Jesus invites us to; “Eat My Body . . . Drink My Blood . . .”

Once again I want to remind you of the words that Venerable Bishop Fulton Sheen said:

The greatest love story of all time is contained in a tiny white host.

It’s hard to understand – and – because our humanity is so flawed . . . Jesus feels it is necessary to Show us His Living Presence in

Eucharistic Miracles . . .

We can SEE what is REAL with our human eyes.

. . . and sometimes . . . Jesus feels a need to make His presence known through other . . . ‘Mystical‘ ways.

‘Mystical’ is REAL . . .

ut we usually cannot see it with our human eyes. God allows some of us to see the ‘Mystical‘ with the eyes of our heart.

This picture of the Holy Spirit with Jesus on the Cross is a ‘Mystical’ picture. taken on 2/6/20 by Clairann Nicklin, another Blog explains it.

We don’t have to solve the’Mystery.’ Just believe.’                       Fr. Stephen Willard.

By the Power of the Holy Spirit . . . in Union with the Ministerial Priest, through the Sacrament of Holy Orders . . . the Bread and Wine are Changed (T-R-A-N-S-U-B-S-T-A-N-T-I-A-T-I-O-N), into the ‘Body and Blood of our Lord Jesus Christ‘. . . . for Jesus said;

“This is My Body . . . this is My Blood.”

Do we believe Him?

How Can we D-o-u-b-t, that ‘Through the Power of the Holy Spirit’ — Jesus can Transform – a tiny piece of ‘Unleavened-Bread” — into His own ‘Body” – to R-E-M-A-I-N with us for all time.

(Matthew 28:20)

And behold, I am with you always, to the close of the age.

We ARE to believe that!

The moment that the ‘Bread is broken’ . . . is the moment in The Paschal Mystery – Mass, of Jesus’ D-e-a-t-h . . .

When the ‘Ministerial Priest’ brakes off a small piece of the Host . . . and places the

‘Piece’ . . . into the ‘Chalice of Jesus’ Blood’ . . .

This s the moment of Jesus’ R-e-s-u-r-r-e-c-t-i-o-n . . .

also called ‘Revivification!’

Which is Jesus ‘Body and Blood’ . . . being joined together again . . .

As the ‘Ministerial Priest’ Elevates the ‘Body and Blood’ – up from the ‘Altar of Sacrifice’ . . .

THIS is the moment of Jesus’ A-s-c-e-n-s-i-o-n.

These are the Beliefs of the Catholic Church. This is why the Mass . . . is called

the ‘Re-Presentation of the Passion of Christ.’

This is why it is called the ‘Source and Summit‘ of the Catholic Faith all achieved through The Paschal Mystery.

Do you Believe that Jesus died to save your soul?

What are you prepared to do about your belief?

This — IS The Paschal MysteryThrough which Our Lord and Savior Comes to us . . .

and Remains with us until the end of the age.”

(Matthew 28:20)

Which IS ‘The ‘S-o-u-r-c-e and ‘S-u-m-m-m-i-t’ of our Faith!

This picture was taken by me, in February of 2016, in Wyoming. It was one of nine similar ‘images of LIGHT’ taken on that trip to Washington State. It is a ‘Brilliant light’ that looks like the ‘Holy Eucharist.‘ To me, it is Christ in our Midst!’

This is a light ‘Orb,’ and was not seen when I took the picture.’ It appeared in the camera later, as did the other eight images. This is not a ‘reflection,’ because the sun is on the right of the picture, which is shown by the shadows that are showing on the left side of the picture, and it is in front of the Mountain which was miles away from me. This is a cropped picture to bring it closer to our view.

We don’t have to solve the Mystery -Just B-E-L-I-E-V-E !

My Book, ‘Christ in our Midst,’ explains the interaction of the Spiritual Gifts of the Holy Spirit called, ‘Fruits, Gifts and Charisms.’ It is a good reading experience about all of this in God’s Plan, to bring us to Him. My book, ‘Christ in our Midst is an easy read, and shows how God works with each one of us as an individuals, by giving us gifts that make us ‘Uniquely His.”

‘Christ in our Midst’ was written through the power of the Holy spirit in my Prayer.

….”And behold, I am with you always, to the close of the age.” We ARE to believe that!…..

All of us need to remember these words during this current transition from one age to the next. Take heart, have faith. Where we go one, we go all.
