Oral – Vocal Prayer‘ are words lifted in prayer to Our Father in — petition, thanksgiving, praise, worship, Adoration or Offering,. It can be done in unity with others, such as; special prayer services, Holy Mass, or any ‘Church’ oriented group of people gathered to Worship God in Formal Prayer. ‘Oral – Vocal Prayer‘ – can be spoken — or sang — or – in our minds . . . There is no set formula.

Oral – Vocal Prayer‘ can be memorized Prayers — or spontaneous words flowing from your heart. Oral -Vocal Prayer is a powerful way to begin our Relationship with God.

The key thing to Remember is; ‘WE ARE THE CHURCH,‘ as individuals and as a group that are gathered together to Worship and Witness Our Lord’s . . . Life, Death, and Resurrection we gather together to give worship, honor and Glory to God in prayer.

Oral – Vocal Prayer‘ is significant to ‘Our Relationship with God.’ Learning to pray memorized prayers is good – because these words will come to you easily when you need to call upon Our Lord. I believe that is why Jesus taught the Apostles the ‘Lord’s Prayer’ when He was asked.

In the Gospel of (Luke 11:1-4) it is written; And it happened that as he was praying in a certain place, as He ceased, a certain disciple of Him said to Him, ‘Lord, teach us to pray, even as also John taught the disciples of him.’ And He said to them; “When you pray, say, Our Father who in the heavens, holy be the name of you; let come the kingdom of you. Let be done the will of you, as in Heaven, also on earth. The bread of us the needed give us day by day. And forgive us the sins of us, also for ourselves we forgive everyone indebted to us. And do not lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.” (Copied from the Greek, Hebrew, English Bible) The spacing is mine — to guide your mind to pause – – – and be able to ‘Drink of Jesus’ love for us and His Father.

Jesus also taught them a longer version that we are more familiar with in Matthew’s ‘Sermon on the Mount.’

I begin my ‘Quiet Prayer ‘— with some words of ‘Oral – Vocal Prayer,’ Usually — ‘In the Name of the Father and the Son. and the Holy Spirit …. I think that — with the sign of the Cross — that —- is the perfect Prayer.

Remember — Our God works in ‘S-i-m-p-l-i-c-i-t-y !’

I have written a Spiritual Book called “Christ in our Midst.’ It is a book about The God given ‘Fruits, Gifts and Charisms of the Holy Spirit.’ There is a section in the Book about he Isaiah Spiritual Gift of Piety that you can get a lot of information about Prayer. And also a section about the Spiritual Gifts called ‘Charisms’ in which there is more about Prayer.

“Christ in our Midst” is a book that is nondenominational. It has Scriptural backing with many references. While writing this book I was led by the Holy Spirit completely. Praise God.
